When will I receive my letters?

Immediately upon completing your order, you will be directed to a webpage where you may download everything you need. You will receive:

  • letter writing instructions
  • letter to print at home
  • list of names and addresses for the letter recipients

You will also receive a confirmation email with a link that will direct you back to that webpage.

Who do I contact with questions?

If you cannot find an answer to your question within the Write Now FAQ, please contact your designated Write Now Data Coordinator. You may email your Coordinator by using the link at the bottom of your Write Now Order Dashboard.

If you are unable to locate or connect with your Write Now Data Coordinator, please send an email with your question to ndc@myfaithvotes.org.

Should I handwrite the entire letter?

No. My Faith Votes has provided a letter template for you to print. You will simply add a short, handwritten message at the bottom of the printed letter to personalize it. In your instructions, we provide you with approved messages to handwrite on the letter. The letter template can be downloaded from your Order Detail Page, which you can access from your Write Now Order Dashboard.

When will I receive the names/addresses?

When you sign up, all of your materials – including the names and addresses of the letter recipients - will be immediately available for download on the Order Details Page. You may continue to access that page as needed through your Write Now Order Dashboard.

May I write something different than your suggested comments?

We ask that you do not write your own message. Please select one of the sample messages provided in the instructions. As a 501(c)(3), My Faith Votes must ensure our messages meet specific standards. Most importantly, we must avoid endorsing a political party or specific candidate.

Do I have to print out the letters and provide the envelopes?

Yes. We are grateful for your contribution towards the printing, envelopes, and postage. You may claim the value of your donation on your taxes. Please consult your tax advisor for more details.

Do I need to print the letter in color, or may I print it in black and white?

It is up to you. You may print the letter in color or black and white.

How do I receive a tax deduction for my expenses?

All your expenses are tax-deductible. If your expenses do not exceed $250, all you need to do is keep your receipts. If your documented expenses exceed $250, please forward copies of your receipts to actionpartners@myfaithvotes.org so that we can provide you with a receipt. Please consult your tax advisor for specific information on how to file the deductions with the IRS.

May I add my contact information to the letter if I would like?

For security reasons, please do not write any of your personal contact information on the letters or envelopes—this includes using your address for the return label.

When do I mail the letters? May I mail them right away?

As soon as your letters are finished, please place them in the mail. The sooner they go out, the sooner they can encourage voters.

Is it OK if I run the envelopes through my printer to print the addresses on them?

Please handwrite names and addresses on your envelopes. People are much more likely to open a piece of mail and pay attention to the message when the envelope is handwritten.

How many letters can I send?

Our website’s order form lets you select between 10 and 1,000 letters per order. If you start with a smaller quantity and decide to add more, simply visit the Write Now Dashboard to submit another order.

How do I order letters for a large group of people?

The maximum number of letters you can order at one time is 1,000. If you need more than 1,000 letters, you may place multiple consecutive orders or contact your assigned Write Now Data Coordinator, whose contact information is included in the details of any order you've placed.

May I have others assist me in the project?

Yes! This is a great activity for families, small groups, churches and more. Many people host ‘letter writing parties’ in their home or church so they can complete the project alongside friends and family. If you are asking others to help you with completing your order, please provide detailed instructions to each person partnering with you to complete the letters.

We encourage each person helping you with your letters to also sign up at www.actionpartners.org, which will enable us to properly thank them and know how many people have participated in the project.

We also would love to see pictures of your group and the letters you have worked on. Please send your pictures to actionpartners@myfaithvotes.org.

What do I do if I cannot cover the costs, especially the postage?

Make sure to order only the number of letters that best fit your budget. You can order as few as 10. If covering the costs are still a challenge, you might reach out to friends and family to help cover the costs.

What do I do if I cannot write and do not have funds to assist?

We can all do something and that means you, too. If you are unable to participate in the writing campaigns and you do not have the financial resources to support it, you can always pray. And prayer is the most essential element needed in every one of these efforts. We are so grateful to each person who chooses to invest in this way.

How do I know this will make a difference?

We keep close track of the impact of our efforts and measure the results against control groups. In the election campaign of 2021, we had tremendous success - as high as a 22% increase in Christian voter turnout. We anticipate that God will bless the work of our hands this time as well.
