This week's focus: Pardon
Pardon is defined as:
- the excusing of an offense without exacting a penalty
- excuse or forgiveness for a fault, offense, or discourtesy
I thank you today, God, for the gift of your pardon. I repent of all the ways I have sinned against you and pray that you would cleanse my heart of all iniquity. As I consider every election I have the opportunity to vote in, Lord, I pray that you would pardon your people in America. Cleanse our hearts of iniquity and rebuild us as a unified body, known by our love in this nation today.
Jeremiah 33:7-8
“And I will cause the captives of Judah and the captives of Israel to return and will rebuild those places as at the first. I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned and by which they have transgressed against Me.”
Prayer Points:
- Pray for the shooting victims and the families of those who lost their lives while attending the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Gilroy, California.
- Pray for your U.S. Senators. If they don't know Christ, pray they come to understand the Gospel through loving Christian witnesses (Romans 10:14). Pray that they will become a part of restoring godliness in our nation.
