This week's focus: Tenderness
Tenderness is defined as:
- very loving and gentle
- showing affection and love for someone or something
Father, I thank you for your tenderness toward me and toward your people in America. I am grateful that your purposes are full of tenderness and compassion. I pray, Lord, that our leaders—all those we elect this November—would be men and women of tenderness. I pray for loving and gentle hearts to serve the American people in the same tenderness with which you treat your people, and I pray that the purposes of their hearts would be aligned with yours.

“You know how we call those blessed (happy) who were steadfast [who endured]. You have heard of the endurance of Job, and you have seen the Lord’s [purpose and how He richly blessed him in the] end, inasmuch as the Lord is full of pity and compassion and tenderness and mercy.”
Prayer Points:
- Elections are taking place in 33 states across the nation on Tuesday. Pray for your elections, that God would be glorified through your vote. If you don’t have an election, pray for the 30,000 elections happening, that the outcomes would bring results that are for the good of the people. Use our election prayer to help guide you here.
- A judge in Alabama has temporarily blocked a law that would protect nearly all unborn babies. The law was supposed to take effect next month. Pro-lifers are hopeful this ruling will cause the law to go to the Supreme Court as a challenge to Roe v. Wade. Pray for all those involved on the legal side of this, that justice and the protection of life would be upheld. Ultimately, pray that hearts and minds would be changed to make abortion unthinkable.
