Strength - Weekly Devotional

This week's focus: Strength

Strength is defined as:

  • moral power, firmness, or courage.
  • the capacity of an object or substance to withstand great force or pressure

Lord, You are the rock and strength of this nation. You are the only one who can deliver us from our enemies. We trust in You and pray humbly for Your guidance and direction for this great nation. Give us the wisdom to make right choices, particularly in the voting booth. Help us to live in such a way that Your name will be honored in all things. May You forever be praised.

Psalm 18:2-3 (KJV)

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Prayer Points:

  • As churches continue to navigate the coronavirus and how best to serve their congregations, pray for your pastors and church leaders. They carry enormous burdens, try to navigate opinions and advice, and work towards balancing serving their congregations while following state mandates. Pray for wisdom, for their protection, and that ultimately, they trust in the Lord and seek to serve Him.
  • There are so many great verses throughout the psalms that speak to the strength of the Lord. Take time to pray through the following verses, giving thanks for His strength. Psalm 27:1, Psalm 37:39, Psalm 138: 3, Psalm 19:14, Psalm 29:11, Psalm 46:1

We want to see God honored in America, and we pray for an unprecedented spiritual awakening.
This devotion was produced in partnership with Every Home for Christ.
This ministry is made possible by the generous support of friends like you.
