Weekly Devotional

May God Give Our Leaders the Heart of a Servant and Patience

This week's focus: Patience

Patience is defined as -

  • bearing pains or trials calmly or without complaint
  • not hasty or impetuous
  • steadfast despite opposition, difficulty, or adversity
Lord God, I lift up every leader who will be nominated during this primary election season and those who will ultimately be elected this November. I pray that each and every one would be a person of patience. Mold their hearts after yours, Jesus, making them like-minded toward the people they are elected to serve. Give them the heart of a servant and patience to bear the pains and trials of their electorates, and make them steadfast and not hasty in making decisions.

Romans 15:5 (NKJV)

Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus…

In Your Prayers, Remember:

  • Pray for the family of Baltimore County police officer, Amy Caprio, who was slain in the line of duty while responding to a call regarding a suspicious vehicle
  • Pray against the demonic spirit that has gained a foothold in schools across the nation, resulting in regular mass shootings. May society never become desensitized to these occurrences
  • The situation in Hawaii continues to be unstable and very volatile, threatening the lives of many. Pray for God's intervention

We want to see God honored in America, and we pray for an unprecedented spiritual awakening.
