Forgiveness -Weekly Devotional

This week's focus: Forgiveness

Forgiveness is defined as:

-the act of forgiving someone or something

-the attitude of someone who is willing to forgive other people

Lord Jesus, I thank you today for the forgiveness you have extended to me, a sinner redeemed by your love. I ask for your forgiveness over our nation; may your restoring love run swiftly through our people and our land. I pray that the hearts of the American people would be convicted of all unrighteousness and turned toward you for forgiveness as we pursue a more perfect union. May your healing and redemption come quickly to America.

1 John 1:9

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Prayer Points:

  • Heavenly Father, thank You for forgiving me and bringing me back into a relationship with You. Thank You for sending Your Son to die on the cross to show us the true meaning of forgiveness. Help me to show that same forgiveness to others, so they can see You living in me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
  • The Arkansas Unborn Child Protection Act was signed into law on Tuesday by Gov. Asa Hutchinson, effectively prohibiting all abortions in the state. Praise God for the lives this will save. Continue to pray for other states to pass legislation that will save lives. Pray for those considering abortion to find the resources they need to choose life. Pray that abortion becomes “unthinkable.” For more resources on praying for a culture of life, download our prolife prayer guide here.

We want to see God honored in America, and we pray for an unprecedented spiritual awakening.
