Family Values and the Sanctity of Marriage

This week's focus: Strengthening Families and Marriages

The main focus for prayer this week is families and marriages. Satan seems to have initiated all-out warfare on marriages in recent years, including Christian marriages and those of pastors and leaders. Satan knows that if he can destroy marriages, and thus the family, he can destroy the very fabric of any society. Pray this week especially for families in distress that you know of as well as your own family. Pray for marriages of those close to you and for those of Christian leaders.

Ephesians 5:25-30

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.

In Your Prayers, Remember:

  • The families of our elected leaders, including the First Family, as they cope with the stress and absence that comes with the job.
  • Recovery and healing for families in our nation affected by violence and addictions.

We want to see God honored in America, and we pray for an unprecedented spiritual awakening.
