This week's focus: Clean Heart
God is able to renew and restore us. When our heart is aligned with His, we’ll be open to His leading.
What a gift it is to be able to come before the throne of grace and ask God to recreate us. As we await the results of the presidential election and the direction the country will take from the outcome, take some time to consider your own heart and who God is calling you to become and how to live out your faith in this season.
The renewal of your spirit is not a one-time event that is completed at the moment of salvation. It is the on-going process of becoming more like Christ every day. Spend a few minutes contemplating if your spirit is right before God and how you can actively live out your belief in Him.
Psalm 51:10 (KJV)
"Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me."
Prayer Points:
- Father, restore my union with You. I pray You would align my heart with Yours and help me value what You value, help me see what You see, and equip me to be Your hands and feet here on earth.
- Continue to pray for our nation. Pray for fairness and truth in the outcomes of the elections that are still awaiting results. Pray for the two Senate seat run-offs in Georgia, as they will determine the balance of power not only in the Senate but within Congress.
We want to see God honored in America, and we pray for an unprecedented spiritual awakening.
