Cast Our Ballots in Accordance with God's Heart

This week's focus: Value

Value is defined as -
  • relative worth, utility, or importance
  • to consider or rate highly
It should make our hearts humble and full of gratitude that God truly values us. May the Lord reveal to us through His Holy Spirit the things that He values in all elections that would lead us to cast our ballot in accordance with His heart. Pray that God would show us how to value our neighbors — in the same way He values them — through our votes. May the Lord use our votes to demonstrate care for those He values.

Matthew 6:26-27 (NKJV)

Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

In Your Prayers, Remember:

  • Pray for the Trump Administration after having made the decision to order precise military strikes, along with allies Great Britain and France, which destroyed three major chemical facilities in Syria, in response to the latest chemical attack on Syrians which killed scores of innocent civilians
  • Praise God that Indiana has recently adopted a law recognizing unborn children as persons, thus if a pregnant woman’s unborn child is killed when she is either harmed or killed, the child will count as a person. A legal abortion is the exemption with this law, however, it is still a major victory in the pro-life fight
  • Pray against the efforts to ban faith-based adoption agencies who do not place children with LGBT couples due to religious convictions, especially since they can use other agencies. The focus should return to the many children stuck in the foster care system

We want to see God honored in America, and we pray for an unprecedented spiritual awakening.
This devotion was produced in partnership with Every Home for Christ.
