This week's focus: Joy
There is great joy for the nation that follows God.
What would it look like for our country to be a nation of joy? We have faced so much division, so much hatred, and polarization that it can be hard to picture a nation truly blessed by the Lord’s joy. But take a few minutes and imagine what that would look like.
The decisions made in this election season will have an impact for generations. You have the opportunity to make a lasting difference and help point our nation to the Lord. Each one of us is responsible for helping to cultivate a nation whose God is the Lord. When we do that, He will bring His joy and blessing to our country.
Psalm 33:12 (NLT)
"What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord,
whose people he has chosen as his inheritance."
Prayer Points:
- Father, as we seek Your face and seek Your heart for the future of our nation increase our joy and give us a vision for what You are calling us to. Give us perseverance to courageously pursue and value what You value. Turn our nation back to You.
- Continue to pray for wisdom as voters make decisions from the local to the state and federal level.
