WEEKLY NEWS SUMMARY - NOVEMBER 5, 2025
In this week's Intersect, read about:
Bill Gates Admits Climate Change Isn’t Doomsday
“For years, Americans were told the world was on the brink of collapse. Politicians, activists, and tech billionaires warned that humanity had a matter of years, maybe decades, before the Earth became unlivable. At the front of that campaign stood Bill Gates, whose books, interviews, and investments all pushed the idea that the planet was barreling toward catastrophe. Now, in a stunning reversal, Gates has admitted that climate change ‘will not lead to humanity’s demise,’ undercutting the very foundation of his own alarmist messaging.” Read more at Million Voices…
THINK.
- Gates’ admission undercuts years of catastrophic rhetoric that shaped public fear and government policy. Climate alarmists such as Al Gore will have a hard time convincing the public of his theory about the world ending as a result of global climate change threats, making policy harder to pass federally in America, which is good.
- The narrative shift invites honest reflection about the manipulation of fear for profit and control. Over time, it will allow for conversations to be held in truth and good faith.
- Christians are reminded that creation stewardship should be guided by truth and gratitude, not panic. We are called to steward the environment, but not to worship it or live in fear of it.
PRAY.
Help us, Lord, as the body of Christ to process truth versus lies. Help me to maintain a sound mind as I read through news and hear of rumors and statements that do not carry truth.
ACT.
Share this story with someone who has felt overwhelmed by climate alarmism. Encourage calm stewardship rooted in faith, not fear. Start local, plant something, recycle, conserve, but reject the narrative that humanity’s end is near.
Islamic Cities Signal Concerns About American Culture Shift
“America has long seen immigration as a source of renewal and strength. Yet in January 2025, the Center for Immigration Studies reported that the foreign-born population, legal and illegal, reached 53.3 million, or 15.8% of the total U.S. population. That share is higher than any time in U.S. history, even surpassing the peaks of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and the results are showing up across the nation, in the New York City mayoral race, among other political concerns across the nation.” Read more at Million Voices…
THINK.
- America’s cultural balance is being tested by record immigration and shifts in civic identity. Our immigration policy matters, and is one chief reason President Donald Trump was elected.
- The article challenges whether communities are assimilating into shared American values or forming separate cultural enclaves. Assimilation matters for every single country around the world. Traditions, customs, and values are uprooted when assimilation does not happen. America is no different. We must preserve our way of life.
- It raises the deeper question of what defines a nation, its borders, its laws, or its beliefs. Every nation has borders; Israel has and still does have borders. We see what happens when those boundaries are violated.
PRAY.
God, I pray for our nation and the culture shifts we face. Our nation was established civilly on Your word. Our laws have historically reflected Your moral law. Help us, Lord, to return to those very same principles and understanding of justice. Minister to the hearts who have fled here, whether for good or bad purposes. Watch over our nation and her inhabitants.
ACT.
Engage locally. Attend city council or school board meetings where cultural decisions are made. Befriend newcomers while boldly sharing your faith and values. Influence community unity by standing firm in what defines America’s moral foundation. People of very different religions and cultural backgrounds are taking city seats across many states. We need Christians running for office!
Mamdani Embraces Trans Ideology and Anti-Israel Allies
“A self-described ‘transgender rabbi’ is again drawing controversy, this time for starring in Zohran Mamdani’s new mayoral campaign ad. Abby Stein, a biological male assuming a female name, who previously made headlines for being removed from a White House Pride event after heckling officials over Israel, is now the public face of Mamdani’s latest outreach to Jewish voters.” Read more at Million Voices…
THINK.
- The fusion of trans activism and anti-Israel sentiment reveals how modern politics often merges identity agendas with ideological extremes. It has infected political races and become a badge of honor. This is very concerning, and people are voting for these candidates.
- This controversy is highlighting the growing problem of not only trans ideological confusion, but also the upward trend of outright celebration and embrace of socialism in America. While some may think, “at least it’s only a city,” we are talking about New York City, one of the largest cities in America, and they are about to elect someone whose views eclipse the radical socialist views of Bernie Sanders.
PRAY.
Jesus, open our eyes to the races that we view as unimportant. Help us to see that all of our cities matter, and that the election of a man whose views are in opposition to Your kingdom is a sign of deep confusion; highlighting a serious need for Your word in that place.
ACT.
Speak the truth in love when culture distorts faith or identity. Support leaders who value both conviction and compassion. Share this story to encourage discernment about who truly represents faith-based values in public life. But speak up, the church must engage in these cities and their elections.
Schumer’s Stand Keeps Government in Gridlock
“As the U.S. government enters its fourth week of shutdown, the standoff in Washington shows no signs of ending. The House has passed multiple funding bills to reopen the government, but Senate Democrats, led by Sen. Chuck Schumer, have refused to advance them, effectively holding the Senate hostage.” Read more at Million Voices…
THINK.
- The Senate stalemate underscores how partisan strategy can override the public good. 60 votes are needed to end the filibuster, and Americans are largely unaware of the process by which the Senate and Congress operate.
- Everyday Americans, not politicians, bear the burden when the government weaponizes procedure for political gain. Keep in mind, however, that one party desires to give illegal immigrants privileges, while doing nothing for Americans who are citizens of the nation.
- Politics is not about compromise for the sake of getting along, but about doing what is right for the common good, and that common good is rarely agreed upon today. Congress can’t pass a responsible and balanced budget when they can’t define what a woman is.
PRAY.
Give our nation’s leaders wisdom and prudence, Holy Spirit. Guide those who are dedicated to You, and thwart the plans of those whose hearts are set on bad intentions.
ACT.
Call or email your senators and representatives. Urge them to prioritize reopening government and serving citizens, and tell them not to give up our nation to people who have no stake in the game. Share this article to inform others that accountability starts with awareness and civic engagement.
