Trump Administration Weighs IVF Access Amid Ethical Debate
"During his campaign for a second term as President, Donald Trump made it clear that he supported in-vitro fertilization (IVF). In October 2024, Trump said, 'I want to talk about IV. I’m the father of IVF, so I want to hear this question,' according to Reuters. But now, six months into his administration, it seems that support has not turned into solid policy." THINK.
- The Trump administration is trying to make IVF easier to access, but without strong rules, it could result in the loss of many unborn lives. Though the Trump administration has expressed support, it appears they are pulling back somewhat out of caution. This is good, as it demonstrates prudence on the part of our nationally elected officials.
- As Christians, we must ask if this approach honors God’s design for life—or if it treats children like something we can create and destroy. The little baby, Thaddeus, frozen for 30 years, is disheartening and should encourage us as Christians to consider how we view life with new technologies.
PRAY.
Father, help our leaders protect life from the very beginning. Give them wisdom to support families in ways that honor You. Protect those babies that are currently frozen and we pray for their proper stewardship; that families are found to give them a home, in Jesus’ name, amen.
ACT.
Research the ethics of IVF, find out for yourself why it is concerning and petition your elected officials, particularly your Congress members to put restraints on this issue until we as a people have a better understanding of this issue.
A Bill to Celebrate: “Make Marriage Great Again Act of 2025”
“A bill making its way through Congress is drawing praise from conservative and faith-based groups for its aim to protect and affirm marriage—not through rhetoric, but through tax code reform." Read more at Million Voices
THINK.
- While this bill does not make a distinction between a same-sex union and biblical marriage, it certainly points America in the right direction by providing a tax incentive for married couples.
- It points back to a larger cause, which is to reform families by encouraging marriages, which ultimately produce children.
- This bill puts money back into the pockets of families who earned it and need it. It is fiscally prosperous and good for all Americans.
PRAY.
God, thank You for the gift of marriage. Help our leaders pass laws that protect families and follow Your design. We ask for the passage of this bill, so that it gets in front of the right people for it to be ushered successfully through the Congress, the Senate, and onto President Trump’s desk to be signed.
ACT.
Contact your federal representative(House / Senate) to support H.R. 320. Let them know you want marriages to be honored by placing money back into their pockets. Tell them this is a good bill that is part of the America-first agenda, and you want to see legislation like this continued.
Planned Parenthood Closures Mark Major Win for Life
“Seventeen Planned Parenthood facilities across the United States have closed their doors so far in 2025, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing pro-life movement. Conservative activist Lila Rose confirmed the closures in a statement highlighting what she called a victory not just for conservatives, but for families and for the country as a whole." read more at Million Voices
THINK.
- The closing of Planned Parenthood clinics shows that prayers, laws, and pro-life efforts are working and saving lives. It indicates that a culture shift is happening and should continue to be encouraged.
- These wins remind us that speaking up for the unborn and helping moms in need really makes a difference. Being outspoken does work; all it takes is boldness and a willingness to step out in faith.
- Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973. It convinced women for 50 years that, because abortion is “legal,” it must also be moral. This is false and will require a prayerful and engaged Church to step up and fight for those unborn lives that need representation.
- Abortion was never meant to be legal, which is why every state in America had some level of restriction on it until the latter part of the 20th century. We must know our history and use the new-found knowledge to fight effectively for our future.
PRAY.
Lord, thank You for every unborn life saved and for the people standing up for life. Give us courage to keep going until every life is valued. Teach us how to war in the spirit and act in the physical. Show us strategies as to how we can protect the unborn, and give us a heart of love as we inform those who have been misled.
ACT.
Support a local pregnancy center by giving your time or resources. Let women know there are real, loving options besides abortion. Petition your state legislature to pass laws banning abortion, including bans on the abortion pill. Keep standing for life, because until a federal law is passed, or a constitutional amendment protecting life is ratified, unborn life remains at risk of being targeted again.
Trump Administration Reaffirms Religious Freedom in the Federal Workplace
“Federal employees across the nation received a strong reminder in July that they have the right to pray, express their faith, and engage in religious activities while at work. A newly released memorandum from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), under the Trump administration, outlines updated guidelines protecting religious expression in federal workplaces." Read more at Million Voices.
THINK.
- A new federal rule protects workers who want to pray, wear religious clothing, or share their faith at work. This is a step in the right direction as the Founding Fathers had intended.
- In a time when many Christians feel pressured to stay quiet, this rule helps protect our freedom to live out our beliefs. This was always constitutionally allowed; however, with the wrong people in power, the liberty to express oneself at work was attacked. This demonstrates the importance of voting the right people into power.
PRAY.
God, thank You for protecting our freedom to follow You, even at work. Help every believer speak with truth and love. Give federal workers the courage to stand for Your truth at work, so that opportunities to share the Gospel are wide open for salvation.
ACT.
